Elon Musk Plans to Scrap Twitter’s Bird Logo, Replace It with X

Elon Musk is certainly on a roll with his plans to revamp Twitter, though many people have criticized his policies. From limiting the reach of unsubscribed creators to cutting down the number of private messages that can be sent, Musk has transformed one of the biggest social media platforms into a money-making machine.

Now, in a quite unexpected move, Musk has announced that he plans on scraping away the little birdie on Twitter’s logo to the letter X. Keep in mind that almost three months ago, in April, it was reported that Musk had changed the name of the company from Twitter Inc. to X Corp.

This also isn’t the first time Twitter has had its logo changed after Musk’s takeover. Earlier this year, around the same time as the company’s name was changed, Twitter temporarily switched its logo from the blue birdie to the Shiba Inu dog, causing the value of the coin to skyrocket.

A few hours ago, Musk tweeted that the little birdie logo will soon bid farewell, and if he comes across a Twitter logo that he believes is good enough, it will be changed by tomorrow. Later on, he posted a video that seemingly features the X logo. It is important to note that the domain name will also be changed from twitter.com to x.com.

The reason why Musk loves the letter X is anyone’s guess, but one of his children is named X Æ A-XII, who prefers to be called X for short. Also, Musk’s other spacecraft manufacturing company is called Space(X). So, it makes sense to keep a consistent naming scheme. But, one has to understand that the Twitter Bird is the platform’s identity.

Although it wasn’t like this from the start, but the birdie logo has been around for over a decade now, and most of us recognize it by what it showcases. Regardless, it remains to be seen how things escalate from here.
