The Wolf Among Us Season 2, the single player story experience adaptation of the Fables comic book, has been delayed till next year. Telltale Games had initially planned for a late 2018 release, but just announced that the game will be released next year.
The Wolf Among Us Season 2
The Wolf Among Us 2 was first announced last year and was scheduled for a release in the latter half of 2018. Telltale says that the reason for the delay was because of “a few fundamental changes”. No specific details were given regarding these changes, and we are unsure if they will have a significant impact on the quality of the final product.
A blog post published today reads, “Most importantly, we’re committed to exploring new ways to tell our stories. Taking this extra time will allow us not only to focus on quality but also to experiment and iterate in order to craft something truly special.”
“Ultimately our goal is to deliver an experience deserving of the passion you’ve consistently shown for The Wolf Among Us, and these extra months will give us the time we need to do our best work. We’re extremely enthusiastic about how the game is progressing so far, and we can’t wait to dig even deeper.”
Telltale says that they will use the extra time to ensure a refined final product. More information about the status of The Wolf Among Us Season 2 will be shared later in 2018. Fans who have been waiting for season two will be disappointed to know that their already long wait has been extended significantly.
If you have not played the first season of The Wolf Among Us, it is available on PC via Steam. The game takes you through the 80s in the shoes of Bigby Wolf, Sheriff of Fabletown, as he discovers the horrifying reality of life in the big city.
