The Elder Scrolls Online, the MMORPG developed by ZeniMax Online Studios, has loads of new content headed its way. As part of the year-long Season of the Dragon narrative, The Elder Scrolls Online will be getting dragons, a new explorable region called Elsweyr, and more unannounced story DLC throughout this year.
In February, The Elder Scrolls Online Wrathstone DLC dungeon pack will add dragons to the game. Subsequently on June 4th, the Elsweyr chapter introduces a whole new territory as well as its own main story quest line. Later on, a dungeon pack and story zone will be released.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr
While the Elsweyr region was a part of The Elder Scrolls: Arena, the upcoming expansion adds it to The Elder Scrolls Online as a fully developed zone. Elsweyr is a unique region of Tamriel where the feline Khajiit race resides.
“In Elsweyr, you can traverse both fertile grasslands and scorching deserts, interact with moon-sugar farmers and wandering nomads, or confront merciless Imperial occupiers and roaming bandits,” reads ZeniMax Online Studios’ announcement.
With a new zone comes new enemies. The Elsweyr chapter marks the addition of Dragons. These new “winged beasts” will require players to work together if they want to end up on top.
Additionally, The Elder Scrolls Online will be getting the “dark, mysterious” Necromancer class. Bethesda describes the class as being able to “command the dead” and “cast powerful elemental spells”.
The Elsweyr expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online can be pre-purchased now. Doing so will allow you to receive exclusive rewards such as the Noble Clan Chief costume, Blue Dragon Imp pet, Treasure Maps, a Baandari Pedlar Crown Crate, and Experience Scrolls. Furthermore, those who pre-purchase digitally will receive the Rahd-m’Athra mount.
