Starfield and Redfall Aren’t Coming to Gamescom 2022

It appears that Bethesda has crushed the hopes of many fans that anticipated seeing a sneak peek of gameplay from Starfield and Redfall at Gamescom 2022. Earlier, Starfield and Redfall were scheduled for Gamescom 2022, but it appears that isn’t the case anymore, dashing the hopes of many fans. Let’s get right into today’s news.

Starfield and Redfall for Gamescom 2022 Not Happening

It was on Reddit that fans discovered that Bethesda secretly removed Starfield and Redfall from being showcased for the upcoming Gamescom 2022 event in Cologne, Germany. A line of text was removed referring to both games from its blog, which hyped the community event at Gamescom 2022 next week. But it seems a bit of the hype has died out.

The Blog post originally said:

“Come see Redfall and Starfield gameplay and get your hands on Fallout 76 while you’re there. Of course, we also have a few surprises and goodies in store for you.”

Sadly, the blog has now been quietly edited, removing all evidence and mention of Starfield and Redfall coming to Gamescom. But there’s still a bit of hope as Starfield won’t be entirely absent from the gaming show. Bethesda is still bringing around the robot companion VASCO from Starfield. You can’t touch the prop, but you can still take selfies with it!

As for other games making an appearance at Gamescom 2022, we’ll get to see multiple titles from Obsidian, as well as Grounded and Pentiment. Microsoft’s booth over at Gamescom 2022 is also set to feature third-party titles such as Disney Dreamlight Valley from Gameloft, and You Suck at Parking from Happy Volcano.

While  Starfield and Redfall won’t be coming to Gamescom 2022, gamers will still get to enjoy a number of titles on hand and get to see never-before-seen gameplay footage and announcement reveals of upcoming titles.

Quite recently, The Outlast Trials by Red Barrels Studios wa confirmed to appear on Gamescom. The studio shed some light on the game last year at Gamescom 2021 with a teaser trailer that indicated the game will feature a 3-player multiplayer mode.

It’s official, Starfield and Redfall aren’t coming to Gamescom, but you should look forward to other games scheduled for showcases. We upload daily on Appuals so stay tuned for more. Till then, see you later and goodbye!
