Source Code Reveals Traces of Mi Mix 4 & Mi Note 11 Running on MIUI 13: Mi Mix Would Probably Support an In-Display Camera Sensor

While the world is dwelling around the Samsung Galaxy S21 launch happening in a few, there are somethings seeing daylight. Xiaomi has shown us some great devices over the years. The Mi Note lineup and even the flagships are amazing. The company’s latest edition: The Mi 11 series was the first to showcase the Snapdragon 888 chipset in it. Now, find this report from GSMArena which tells us more about their future lineup from some source code found on miui.com.

According to the article, they have found evidence about the Mi Mix 4 and the Mi Note 11. While both phones were being anticipated for quite some time now, we have ample evidence on their inevitable arrival. The source code indicates that MIUI 13 would be running on both the devices mentioned previously.

Now, the article states that there isn’t much on the Mi Note 11. We believe it would take certain features from the Mi 11 series and others from the Mi Mix as well. Currently, there is news on certain features on the Mi Mix 4. Some Chinese manufacturers have already displayed an in-display camera sensor. People believe that the Mi Mix 4 would exhibit this as well. While the technology is still pretty immature to be outfitted on high-end devices, perhaps the company would make something out of it. Quoting the article:

…BOE and Huaxing have already kicked off mass production of OLED panels with under-display cameras and will reach the end consumer in the second half of this year, which coincides with the possible release date of the Mi Mix 4.

Now, we would have to wait and see how the end product turns out to be. Currently, while the under-display cameras are great aesthetically, the results they give out are quite less so. They lack clarity which is because of the mechanism used to bend light around pixels. Perhaps in 2021, we would see an improvement to this.
