The Mobile World Congress, otherwise known as the MWC will be hosted this Sunday in Barcelone. It’s expected that MWC will be home to the release of multiple phones from multiple companies Two prominent companies which will be releasing phones at the press conference are Sony and HMD Global. Prices of the devices being released by the two companies have been leaked by the same source that leaked the European pricing for the Xiaomi Mi 9.
HMD Global (Nokia)
According to the source, the Nokia 9 PureView, which will be released at the MWC conference will be priced at EUR 599 in Europe. The device will be running the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC so the price point does not come as a surprise. However, the Snapdragon 855-powered version of the Nokia 9 PureView which will be released later this year will definitely have a heftier price tag following the 2019 flagship smartphone trend. Furthermore, we have confirmation that the Nokia 4.2 will carry a price tag of EUR 199 and the entry-level smartphone, the Nokia 1 Plus will cost you just EUR 99. The budget option from Nokia, The Nokia 3.2 smartphone will carry a price tag of EUR 149.
Sony is going all out at this year’s MWC. The company is expected to release four new smartphones. The most high-end of these phones will be the Xperia 1. The phone will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC. Moreover, the device will feature a 6.5-inch 4K HDR OLED display which will be accompanied by an unusual aspect ratio of 21:9. The phone will also have a triple 12MP rear camera setup. All of this will be backed by a 3300mAh battery. The device will cost you a cool EUR 949 in Europe, competing with devices like the S10.
