Sony Introduces Gray Camouflage Themed Console Covers for The PlayStation 5

Just last year Sony released custom Galaxy themed faceplates for the PlayStation 5, along with new colors for the DualSense controller. Adding to that, Sony has released another themed lineup of faceplates and accessories, this time in Gray Camouflage. The Gray Camouflage Collection includes new PS5 console covers, for both the disc and digital edition, along with matching accessories including the DusalSense controllers and the Pulse 3D headsets.

The PlayStation design team reimagined our camouflage pattern to reflect a fresher, more contemporary feel. If you look closely, you’ll notice that the iconic PlayStation Shapes have been subtly incorporated into the pattern.

The new Gray Camouflage Collection will be available sometime this fall, with pre-orders starting from September 15th. Sony won’t be releasing all the accessories together, the DualSense wireless controller and the PlayStation 5 console cover will launch on October 14, with the themed Pulse 3D headset releasing later in December.

The announcement blogpost also adds, “The exact launch dates for the collection may vary by location, so be sure to check your local retailer for availability.”

In the US, UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg, some of these accessories will be available for purchase via early access directly on Sony’s official online store, direct.playstation.com. As for the price, Sony doesn’t mention anything in the announcement blog post, but the previous themed covers retailed for $74.99 USD on release, so it should likely be the same with these.

Starting October 14 (while supplies last), the DualSense wireless controller in Gray Camouflage will be available on direct.playstation.com and will be offered at other participating retailers starting October 28.

Starting October 14 (while supplies last), the PS5 console covers in Gray Camouflage will be available exclusively on direct.playstation.com in these locations.

If you are looking for custom covers for your PS5, Dbrand also offers the Darkplates 2.0 lineup. As an added benefit, the Darkplates 2.0 comes with custom fan vents. As for the company’s first iteration of the Darkplates, they had to stop selling it due to a cease-and-desist letter from Sony. You can read more about that saga here
