Multiple Silent Hill Games Teased By Director Christophe Gans

The return of Silent Hill has long been anticipated, and now the movie’s director, Christophe Gans, may have revealed that several Silent Hill games are, in fact, in development.

The idea that Konami is bringing back the game series has been the subject of various speculations throughout the years.  In a recent interview, Gans discussed the future of Silent Hill and stated that he is in contact with the developers of the Silent Hill video game. He believes the Resident Evil remakes inspired the creators at Konami.

I’m working with the Silent Team, the original creators at Konami, there are several games in development as we speak, there are several teams on it, with a big line of games, they will revive the franchise

I think they were really impressed of the success of the remakes of Resident Evil that are evidently exceptional games.

According to Gans, a remake of Silent Hill 2 is being worked on by the Bloober Team in collaboration with Konami. He also mentioned that separate studios would handle the other games. Judging by this, it can be derived that at least three Silent Hill games are in development.

The possibility of numerous Silent Hill games being developed by other developers came to light last year. After that, leaked images from a project were taken down as soon as they were discovered online. The Short Message, an unreleased Silent Hill game, received a rating in South Korea last month. What exactly is The Short Message at this time? It may be a teaser, a spin-off, a new mainstream episode, or even a mobile game.

No matter how many rumors have circulated, Konami has remained silent about what, if anything, is in development. While the news is exciting for many, it is not confirmed as Gans isn’t an employee of Konami and has no say in the company’s decisions. His comments about the Silent Hill series should thus be treated with caution.
