SEGA Releases Sonic Origins Plus: 16 Classic Sonic Titles in 1 Collection
Today, SEGA has released a treat for Sonic fans everywhere – Sonic Origins Plus. Sonic Origins Plus includes a total of 16 Sonic titles bundled together, and players will be treated to a marathon of hedgehog heroics. You can have a look at the launch trailer below.
The gameplay experience is enhanced with multiple new modes, challenges, and more. One particularly exciting addition is the ability to play as Superpowered Amy Rose as you navigate through iconic stages and face off against Dr. Robotnik and his robotic minions. This marks the first time ever that Amy Rose can be selected as a playable character in Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and Sonic CD.
For those who already own Sonic Origins, SEGA has a special treat in store. The Plus Expansion Pack allows players to complete their Sonic experience with 12 Sonic Game Gear titles. Additionally, Knuckles becomes playable in Sonic CD.
SEGA has also included the Classic Music Pack and Premium Fun Pack in Sonic Origins Plus. These additional features offer a wealth of exciting content, including Extreme Missions, Mirror Mode, additional screen borders, new character animations in menus, and added music from other Sonic titles.
Sonic Origins Plus is now available on multiple platforms, including PC via Steam/Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. For those who already own Sonic Origins, the game is available as an expansion pack, while new players can dive straight into the action with the standalone package.
