Samsung Launched Galaxy J6, J8, A6, and A6+ Today in India

Just today, Samsung officially launched several of its Galaxy phones for the India market, from the Galaxy J and Galaxy A series of models. This comes after plenty of rumors all month, until Samsung finally unveiled the details today at a launching event in Mumbai.

The lowest price model is the Galaxy J6 at Rs. 13,990, with the high-end Galaxy A6+ being launched at Rs. 25,990.

Here’s the full list of devices:

• Samsung Galaxy J6 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB – Rs. 13,990/16,490
• Samsung Galaxy J8 4GB of RAM and 64GB- Rs. 18,990
• Samsung Galaxy A6 32 GB/64Gb internal storage – Rs. 21,990/22,990
• Samsung Galaxy A6+ 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage – Rs. 25,990

All of the devices are running the latest Android 8.0 Oreo, with Samsung’s UI on top of it.

The Galaxy J6 will be rolled out first, with sales beginning immediately at Samsung stores across India, as well as Paytm Mall, Samsung India E-Store, and Flipkart. The Galaxy J8 will become available after June 20.

The Galaxy J6 has a 5.6” inch Super AMOLED 2.5D curved glass display, at a resolution of 1480×720 pixels, and an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It is utilizing an octa-core Exynos 7870 SoC with the Mali T830 GPU, a 13MP primary camera with f/1.9 aperture, and 8MP selfie camera.

The Galaxy J8 has a 6” inch HD+ Super AMOLED 2.5D display, with the same resolution as the J6. It has the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC with an Adreno 506 GPU, a 16MP f/1.7 aperture primary camera and 5MP secondary camera, and a single 16MP selfie camera.

The Galaxy A6 has the same display as the J6 in terms of display and CPU / GPU chipset, but it has a 16MP primary camera and 16MP selfie camera.

The A6 Plus has a similar display and chipset to the Galaxy J8, but is utilizing a rear dual camera at 16mp / 5MP, and a 24MP selfie camera.
