Samsung Galaxy S10 Lineup Sales are 12% Higher Than Its Predecessors

Despite the fact the Samsung’s next Unpacked event is approaching, the S10 lineup is still one of the best in the market. Like always Samsung most likely will be unveiling the next Note phablet at the event. Ahead of the next big phone from Samsung, the Galaxy S10 lineup sales number are out.

The sales number indicates the S10-lineup further strengthen Samsung’s position in the premium flagships market. The new Galaxy S10 was released in March and it outclasses its predecessor during the first quarter of availability in terms of sales.

The latest report from Yonhap based on Counterpoint Research stats confirm impressive 16 million units sale of S10 lineup from March 2019 to May 2019. It is important to mention that the sales comprise of standard Galaxy S10, entry-level S10e, and ultra-premium Galaxy S10+.

Just for the sake of reminder, last year the S9 and S9 Plus sold 14.3 million units in the first three months. Whereas the S10 lineup sales are higher by 12% during the same period. The report also mentions the S10+ is the most popular with an impressive chunk of 42% sales of the total. This means the S10+ 6.7 million units sold in the first three months. As expected the standard Galaxy S10 is on the second position with 32% share (5.1 million units). The third position is acquired by the cheaper S10e with 22% share (3.5 million). However, it lacks the sale numbers of 5G variant which was released later for few markets only.

Samsung will be releasing the Q2 earnings reports later this month. The S10 lineup impressive sales will surely have an impact on the company’s Q2 earnings as well. On the other hand, the Cupertino giant cheaper iPhone XR was the most popular model in terms of sales whereas the expensive variant wasn’t amongst most liked.

Last but not the least the impressive sales of S10 lineup also helped the South Korean giant to stable their position in the flagships market. The S9 lineup sales helped the company to achieve 22% of the flagships market share. This year S10 series sales help the company to reach an impressive 25% of flagships segment.
