The release date of The Last of Us Part 2 might have just leaked. The highly anticipated sequel to Naughty Dog’s story-driven survival horror was initially expected to release sometime in 2019. Now, thanks to a leak from Peruvian gaming retailer LAWGAMERS, we finally have a better idea of when the game is launching.
The Last of Us Part 2
As discovered by TheLootGaming, a poster of The Last of Us Part 2 was found on LAWGAMERS. The promotional material for the game seems to also showcase the supposed release date. According to the leak, The Last of Us Part 2 is slated for release sometime in October later this year.
As the first game was a PlayStation 4 exclusive, the community expected the same approach for the sequel. However, developer Naughty Dog hasn’t revealed much about the platforms of The Last of Us Part 2. The leaked promotional poster, however, seems to confirm that the game is indeed launching on the PlayStation 4. Unfortunately for other platforms, we still don’t know whether the game will be an exclusive like its predecessor.
Although the promotional poster looks very authentic, it’s still a rumor. As is the case with all leaks, take this information with a grain of salt. Until we receive official confirmation from Naughty Dog or Sony themselves, we won’t be sure of the actual release date of The Last of Us Part 2. As far as the leak goes, however, both Naughty Dog or LAWGAMERS are yet to comment on it.
The Last of Us Part 2 was revealed during E3 last year. For 2019, Sony announced that it won’t be attending E3 this year. This news was quite unexpected, but PlayStation still has a lot of great exclusives lined up for this year. Do you believe the release date suggested in this leak?
