Rockstar Shows Off Red Dead Redemption 2 Towns and Areas

Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar’s upcoming Western-themed action adventure video game, is approaching its release date. Today, the developer shared some information in the form of screenshots regarding the locations that will be featured in the game.
The post on the Rockstar website names 7 different locations, with a few artworks for each. The artwork, except the gameplay screenshots, give off a postcard-esque vibe. According to the post, Red Dead Redemption 2 will feature a variety of locations, ranging from forests, mountains, and even swamps.
Valentine – The Heartlands, NH
Home to all kinds of people, ranging from outlaws wreaking havoc, to cowboys and traders having fun, Valentine is described as a “raucous, rough-and-tumble” town.

Annesburg – Roanoke Ridge, NH
Located in close proximity to the Lannahechee River, Annesburg is populated by coal miners and their families. Despite its dangerous pit and terrible working conditions, the Roanoke Ridge mine has been in operation for almost a 100 years.

Saint Denis – Bayou NWA, LE
One of the more civilized and advanced towns of Red Dead Redemption 2, Saint Denis is home to majority of the businessmen, sailors, and laborers. As a result of its key location near a trade route, the town is infested with beggars and thieves.

Mount Hagen – Grizzlies, AM
The Mount Hagen snowy peak of the Grizzlies of Ambarino range is a very special point of interest thanks to its location. The peak is located in between Lake Isabella and Beartooth Beck, and connects to the Dakota River down south.

Rhodes – Scarlett Meadows, LE
Rhodes has been a conflict of interest for years between two major plantation families, the Braithwaites and the Grays. Do not be deceived by its pleasant looks, as this southern town is the victim of heavy political corruption.

Strawberry – Big Valley, WE
Originally a sweet little logging town, Strawberry was put on a path of modernization after the election of an East Coast eccentric mayor. Now, the town has become a famous point of interest for rich tourists, at the cost of the happiness of the local residents.

Lagras – Bayou LWE, LE
One of the more hidden and out of the way locations, the Lagras swamp is an interesting location. The townsfolk of the swamp spend their time fishing and helping out travelers who are in need of assistance.
