A while back, we posted here that B&H “accidentally” posted a listing for the upcoming Pixel Buds 2. The listing was for a pre-order for the device and there was no additional information given on it. Since then, while we have succumbed to rumors and leaks, the latest post from 9to5Google suggests that we may be seeing the product earlier than expected.
According to the article from 9to5Google, another listing came from a retailer in Chicago by the name of Abt. People who chose to pre-order from the retailer finally got notified with a potential shipping date for their device. The article states that the company is referring to Google directly when it says that the product would be arriving in stores and be delivered sometime between April and May. The statement reads
We are writing to keep you updated on the status of your pre-order for the Google Pixel Buds – GA01470-US. We have been informed by Google this new product is expected to be releases to arrival in our warehouse by end of April/early May. We are continuing to work with Google to receive this product as soon as possible. Once received we will promptly ship your order.
Now, this isn’t confirmed but considering the retailer, being one for the first-party accessories, we might just see the pixel buds sooner this year. If that is so, the company would ship them out itself too, pretty soon, making them available on its website. The Pixel Buds 2 were announced quite some time ago and by now, we’re all pretty eager to see them. The leaks suggest they would be great and would give the Apple Airpods a run for their money. Well, the proposed time isn’t that far off. Let’s see what Google has in store for us.
