The iPhone 6 Plus is definitely not your average Smartphone – and this fact is true in a wide variety of different ways. For starters, the iPhone 6 Plus has some of the most innovative and Smartphone technology known to man (such as fingerprint scanning), is significantly larger than most Smartphones and is also in a completely different level as compared to other Smartphones on the software side of things. Another fact that sets the iPhone 6 Plus apart from most Smartphones is the fact that in the iPhone 6 Plus, the SIM card goes into a dedicated SIM card jack located on the right side of the device instead of under the device’s back cover.
The iPhone 6 Plus’s SIM card jack contains a SIM card tray, and in order to place a SIM card into or take a SIM card out of an iPhone 6 Plus, this tray needs to be freed from the jack. To do so, you will need the SIM card ejection tool that came with the iPhone. The following are the steps you need to follow in order to remove a SIM card from an iPhone 6 Plus:
Insert the SIM card ejection tool that came with the iPhone into the small hole located inside the SIM card jack.
Press the ejection tool into the hole with a significant amount of force to eject the SIM card tray out of the jack.
Remove the SIM card tray assembly from the iPhone.
Take the SIM card out of the SIM card tray. Once you have done what you needed to do, simply place the SIM card you want to insert into the iPhone onto the tray, making sure that the orientation of the SIM card in relation to the tray is correct, and then place the tray into the jack, securing it into its place.
