Nubia has officially introduced the company’s newest gaming smartphone for 2023 across worldwide markets. The RedMagic 8 Pro, which has an incredibly cheap asking price, seems to be offering mobile gamers even more capability. It goes without saying that a gaming phone has to look the part, and the RedMagic 8 Pro has had to be among the ugliest gadgets out there. If you are concerned about the specifications, you shouldn’t be since the phone is jam-packed with top-notch technology.
The RedMagic gaming phone series has improved year after year with gradual advancement culminating in this most recent iteration, however, it is difficult to recommend for anybody other than those concerned with pure specs. The smartphone has the most recent Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which is combined with 12–16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256–512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

With the RedMagic 8 Pro, you get a 50-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GN5 sensor as the primary camera in addition to an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 2-megapixel macro camera, which is a welcome change from the middling camera systems that afflict gaming phones in general. You get a 16-megapixel selfie camera on the front.
The RedMagic 8 Pro boasts a boxier design language with beautiful RGB lighting, and an aluminum frame, and is one of the most appealing smartphones. The 3.5mm headphone port on the phone is the finest feature, however. The RedMagic 8 Pro will come pre-installed with Android 13 even though Nubia has not provided any information on the upgrade schedule. This device-specific version has several modifications to make use of the additional hardware. A gaming area is included, and other choices like LED control are also available.
The RedMagic 8 Pro will be sold directly through RedMagic.com beginning on February 2 for interested purchasers. The US starting price for the 12/256GB option is an alluring $649, while the 16/512GB device will cost $799. There are just two colors: “Matte” and “Void.”
