Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Graphics Menu Leaked

Since its launch on consoles, Red Dead Redemption 2 has been rising in popularity within the gaming community, and rightfully so. The wild-west cowboy action adventure has quickly earned an astounding reputation, so much so that fans have been eagerly waiting for any news regarding a PC release. It was rumored that Rockstar has plans to launch Red Dead Redemption 2 on the PC some time after the console release, similar to what they did with Grand Theft Auto V. With no official word from Rockstar regarding this topic, we might finally have our first, albeit short look at the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2.

Leak

From the short 25 second clip posted to Youtube earlier today, we see footage of the supposed Red Dead Redemption 2 graphics settings menu. The video starts off by the user pausing the game and navigating to the settings menu. The settings menu shows 5 different sub-menus in card format: Controls, Display, Camera, Audio, and General. Within the display menu, the only one shown in detail in the video, we see an array of graphic options. PC users will instantly recognize the majority of settings included, such as resolution, Vsync, texture quality and more.

The menu shares a striking resemblance to the one seen in GTA V, partially adding to its credibility. As its obviously not an official clip, there’s no way for sure to know whether the leak is real or a fake. If it is indeed a fake, then the author has definitely put in a lot of effort in order to make it look genuine.

Interestingly, the original account which posted the clip was shut down mere hours after the upload. This has led many people to believe that Rockstar took legal action, which, if true, means that the footage seen above might be more closer to the real thing than we initially thought. We’ll have to wait and see how Rockstar reacts to this, which will help us know more about the authenticity of the leak.

Personally, I believe that the leaked footage is authentic because of the smoothness in the menu navigation. It could very well end up to be an elaborate fake, but as far as I can tell, there’s nothing that seems out of the ordinary. Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
