E3 is one of the most interesting gaming events of the year, and Ubisoft’s latest announcement has only made it more exciting. To celebrate the upcoming launch of Rainbow Six Siege’s Operation Phantom Sight, Ubisoft is hosting a Twitch Rivals Celebrity Showdown featuring T-Pain and Lil Yachty.
The event will take place immediately after Ubisoft’s E3 press conference, and will see the American rappers lead two Rainbow Six Siege teams composed of high profile streamers. In addition to a $50,000 prize split between the two teams’ streamers, the winning team will get to donate $40,000 to a charity of their choosing. The losing team will also get to donate $10,000 to a charity of their choice.
As for the participants, the teams feature famous Rainbow Six Siege streamers and Youtubers such as ZanderLP, Sacriel, BikiniBodhi, Annemunition, Therussianbadger, Lil_Lexi, and Bnans. The match will be streamed live at Ubisoft’s Twitch channel on June 10th.
Furthermore, Rainbow Six Siege will be free to play the weekend before the celebrity showdown. From June 6th to June 9th, the operator-based first person shooter will be available for free on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. In addition, the game will see discounts of up to 70% depending on the edition.
The free weekend will take place a few days before the launch of Operation Phantom Sight, Rainbow Six Siege’s newest season. The upcoming content update brings major changes and additions, including two new operators named Warden and Nøkk. Read up on how their gadgets work here.
