Rainbow Six Siege’s First Shield Defender is Clash

With the Paris Major for Rainbow Six Siege underway, we are slowly approaching the upcoming season titled Grim Sky. As it has been the case with every season, Ubisoft have begun sharing teasers regarding the upcoming content. Earlier this week, the first map rework of Hereford Base was announced. After teasing us with short clips, Ubisoft officially introduced Clash, a defending operator from Scotland Yard.

Clash

Joining the defender lineup alongside Mute and Smoke is Scotland Yard’s very own Morowa “Clash” Evans. Although no detailed information was given regarding her loadout or gadget, most of her background information is available. Clash’s gadget, the CCE Shield (Crowd Control Electro Shield), was a collaborated project by Mira and Twitch. By looking at the teaser video, it is obvious that the CCE Shield is no ordinary gadget. Near the end of the video, we see Clash activate the shield to let our bursts of electricity. Judging from her biography and personality, it is safe to assume that the new defender can lockdown areas using her gadget.

Background

Rainbow Six operator Clash is an expert at “devising crowd-control strategies” thanks to her experience as an officer with the Territorial Support Group, Specialists Firearm Command, and even the London Metropolitan Police Services.

“Clash is the perfect Operator to handle this new gadget and weapon because she understands mob behavior and she pioneered snatch squad tactics, not to mention her experience as a riot officer. She knows exactly when and where to deploy this shield to deny entry and slow down her opponents,” reads the operator introduction post. “Not only that, Clash has the backbone to stand her ground and a cooperative mindset to set herself up for assists. She shows no mercy and she has zero-tolerance for nonsense.”

While that was all that we know from the announcement post, detailed information will be shared at the Grim Sky live reveal on August 17th – 19th.
