With the announcement of Operation Burnt Horizon, Ubisoft has confirmed that Rainbow Six Siege is headed to Australia. Yesterday, Ubisoft shared with us a small description of the new operators, Gridlock and Mozzie, and the new map. Although the cover art for the new operation featured the two SASR operators, it wasn’t the most detailed of images. However, thanks to a slip on Ubisoft’s part, eager fans were able to view complete operator portraits of Gridlock and Mozzie.
Gridlock and Mozzie
The leaked images were grabbed directly from Ubisoft’s own website. Multiple Reddit users from different regions sharing them on r/Rainbow6 reported seeing almost the same image. The only difference was that for some people, the operator name tags were switched around. This led to some confusion about the call signs of each operator.
However, it doesn’t take much to figure out which is which. Although the male operator wearing the motocross helmet isn’t an easy link to his gadget, the mechanical-oriented female is. Previously, we learned that defender Mozzie has a device which allows her to hack attacker drones. Judging from the female operator’s wide array of tools, it would make sense for her to be Mozzie. Moreover, aside from a handful of Reddit users, all the others reported seeing the male and female labelled as Gridlock and Mozzie, respectively.
More information about Gridlock and Mozzie will be shared in the days leading up to their release. A full reveal of the year four roadmap and Operation Burnt Horizon will take place on February 17th. The Six Invitational 2019 in Montreal kicks off next week, and brings 16 best teams from around the world to compete for a hefty prize pool, and the title of World Champions.
An ongoing sale has slashed Rainbow Six Siege’s price by 75% on PC via Steam. The season pass is also available to purchase now ahead of the year four launch.
