It seems that Rainbow Six Siege is in for another round of premium cosmetics. A new leak suggests that the previously leaked ‘Invitational’ cosmetics will soon be available via the new ‘Invitational Packs’. Leaker R6SNews released a video showcasing the upcoming cosmetics.
The leaker’s video is in Japanese, but from what we can gather, the new content will be sold as premium cosmetics. This means that we should expect to see another variant of the Outbreak and Crimsonveil packs called ‘Invitational’ packs.
Regarding the contents of the packs, it looks like we are getting a dozen or so uniforms, headgears, weapon skins and charms. Supposedly, there are uniforms and headgears for Ash, Dokkaebi, Mira, Doc, and Thatcher. There are also quite a few Invitational-themed charms and weapon skins. In terms of quality, the cosmetics, especially the uniforms and headgears, are marginally better than the regular ones.
Judging from the video, players will likely require approximately twenty Invitational packs to unlock all the items. For the Invitational packs, Ubisoft will likely take the same route as they did with the Outbreak and Crimsonveil packs. If that is the case, then these premium packs will not be purchasable with renown, only R6 Credits. Fortunately, unlike Alpha packs, the premium packs do not contain any duplicates.
The Six Invitational 2019 is an esports event in which 16 of the best Rainbow Six Siege teams from around the world will compete. The event will be hosted in Montreal, Canada from from February 11th to 17th 2019.
