There have been many rumors and theories concerning the future of the Metal Gear series for quite some time, but the developer has not confirmed any of them. Nonetheless, today we have news from a credible source suggesting that a Metal Gear showcase may be on the way, and we may soon hear about it officially.
Quinton Flynn, the voice actor who has voiced Raiden in Metal Gear Solid 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, and Metal Gear Rising, has responded to fans who have predicted that an announcement on Metal Gear Solid may be coming soon.
Flynn had previously posted a video promoting his Cameo page. In response to the video, one viewer noted that February 2023 will mark the 10th anniversary of Metal Gear Rising. In response, another fan questioned if Metal Gear Rising 2 was on the way, suggesting that the news would be revealed as part of a bigger Metal Gear showcase stream.
Stayed tuned for things to be announced in the coming weeks 😉

In a deliberately vague manner, Flynn responded, “Stay tuned for things to be disclosed in the coming weeks.” It is unknown whether this indicates a future Metal Gear-related event, the announcement of a Metal Gear Solid remake, or perhaps Metal Gear Rising 2. Nonetheless, it seems that something is happening, and we may soon know what it is.
The rumors about a new Metal Gear Solid game have been floating around for a while now. The gaming industry as a whole has been claiming for years that they know about upcoming Metal Gear Solid remakes, but developer Konami has never confirmed any of these rumors. Like previous times, this time too, we may have to wait for an official announcement to confirm any of this.
Let us know what you think of this, and if you believe that Konami will soon unveil what they have in store for us concerning the Metal Gear series.
