Quantic Dream Reportedly Leaked for Gamescom 2022, Possibility for Star Wars Eclipse Sneak Peek

We’ve enjoyed loads of Star War games over the years, and now we’re looking forward to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor along with the now delayed Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic game. There are numerous LEGO Star War games out there, too but it appears we might be getting another one in a few years. Star Wars Eclipse, from French Developer Quantic Dream, has been leaked for Gamescom 2022.

Quantic Dream Studios is Coming to Gamescom 2022?

The French Developer Quantic Dream will be coming to Gamescom 2022, that’s set for this week, according to a recent leak. Quantic Dream has been behind the critically acclaimed Beyond: Two Souls which was released a few years ago. T

The studio was reported to be working on an open-world space game after they were done with Beyond: Two Souls. The project was codenamed Project Karma which was eventually changed to Project Solstice. So far, the game has been in development for around two years now. It’s quite possible or obvious for that matter that this game is actually Star Wars Eclipse and the title might be coming to Gamescom 2022 for an actual gameplay footage showcase.

The information comes from a renowned leaker in the game industry, Tom Henderson, who states that the new Quantic Dream game is said to be announced during a behind-the-scenes presentation at the annual Gamescom 2022 event taking place in Cologne, Germany. It’s likely that the game might pop up in today’s Opening Night Live show, too, which is being hosted by Geoff Keighley though it isn’t confirmed at this point.

It was announced last year that the French developer is actively working on the development of a new Star Wars game, Star Wars Eclipse. Whether the leaked upcoming game is Star Wars Eclipse or another separate title is remained to be seen.

“In addition to Star Wars Eclipse though, one source, with knowledge of some games under development at Quantic Dream has said that the studio is currently working on at least three individual projects; Star Wars Eclipse, Spellcaster, and Dreamland” – Tom Henderson

Star Wars Eclipe was first announced back at the Game Awards 2021. The game is set to be featured in an uncharted region of the Outer Rim. It takes place during The High Jedi Era which is known to be the Golden Jedi Era. Quantic Dream is being held to a high standard, and they’re anticipated to deliver different narratives. Players will get to choose their own story based on their decisions, and the story will change depending upon how the player proceeds. Players will get to explore new worlds with untold stories playing as unique characters that have their set of powers, abilities, and roles.

Star Wars Eclipse is the first video game to be set in an uncharted region of the Outer Rim during The High Republic era, known as the golden age of the Jedi. The game will build upon Quantic Dream’s expertise in delivering deeply branching narratives and will go beyond their already established acclaim. Player’s choices will be at the heart of the experience, as every decision can have a dramatic impact on the course of the story.

Crafted by a diverse team of writers, game creators, and interactive storytelling experts, all with a deep affinity for the Star Wars franchise, Star Wars Eclipse will feature new places to explore through untold stories with unique characters, each with their own path, abilities, and roles to play. – Game Awards 2021

Whether Star Wars Eclipse will feature impeccable gameplay, the likes of Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order and the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Survivor remains to be seen. Will it appease the fans and live up to the Star Wars legacy? Fans and critics will decide once the game officially comes out, which would probably be sometime in 2024 or 2025.

Quantic Dream is coming to Gamescom 2022, as stated by Henderson in his leaks. It’s not clear if the game that’s to be revealed is Star Wars Eclipse or a completely different title. We’ll know once Gamescom 2022 starts off.

In addition, numerous other titles are also stepping on the stage for Gamescom 2022. The Last of Us Part 1 Remake for the PS5 will be showcased with some new gameplay footage and next-generation visuals. All the while, The Outlast Trials developed by Red Barrels Studios will also come out with some new gameplay and a better showcase of the Outlast story.

And that’s pretty much it for today’s news. Is Quantic Dream coming to Gamescom 2022? Will the studio feature gameplay or a reveal trailer for Star Wars Eclipse? Let us know in the comments below. We upload daily on Appuals, so stay tuned for more. Till then, see you later and goodbye!
