PUBG’s Latest Weekend Event Mutant Mayhem is all about the new MK47 Mutant AR

Popular battle royale PlayerUnknown’s Battleground’s most recent War mode event shines the spotlight on the new assault rifle: the MK47 Mutant. Added in the recent update 21 that was deployed about a week ago, the MK47 Mutant is the newest 7.62mm assault rifle in PUBG. Practice the new weapon in Mutant Mayhem, this weekend’s war mode.

MK47 Mutant

“It’s time to lock, load, and embrace your inner mutant,” reads the Steam announcement post. “This week’s War Mode event is Mutant Mayhem, which loads out players with the brand new Mk47 Mutant Assault Rifle for some evening desert action.”

Mutant Mayhem

In this event, all players will spawn on Miramar with the MK47 Mutant assault rifle. With each players equipped with 100 rounds of 7.62 ammunition and a level 1 armor vest, Mutant Mayhem will be filled with non-stop action. The respawn plane flies by every 40 seconds, allowing players to dive right back into the action after being killed. The first team to reach 150 points, or the one with the most points after 15 minutes, will win. To earn points, players can perform various actions. By eliminating an enemy, your team will be rewarded 3 points. Knocking out an enemy, or reviving your fallen teammate will reward your team with 1 point.

Mutant Mayhem War mode does not include any vehicle or care package spawns, and red zones have also been disabled.  All matches take place during the sunset on Miramar and friendly fire is turned off. Four person squads can participate for up to a max of 40 players per game.

The Mutant Mayhem event is live now and runs throughout the weekend until September 16th, 7 PM PDT. Auto-matching is forced on and the game mode is available in both third-person and first-person perspective modes on NA, EU, and AS. Regions KR, JP, SEA, OC, and SA are limited to third-person perspectives. Check out the official announcement post to learn more about the event.
