Nintendo has just announced a spanking new Nintendo Switch OLED model with a Pokemon Scarlet and Violet theme and it’s absolutely beautiful. Called the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Edition system, it will be available at select stores on November 4th. Moreover, a new trailer for the latest upcoming pokemon game has also been released.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Nintendo Switch Variant Details
The new Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Edition boasts the art of legendary Pokémon Koraidon and Miraidon, which are displayed on the glossy front side of the Switch OLED dock. On the back, you will find an impressive design inspired by the series’ iconic Poké Ball.
The Switch handheld is adorned on the backside with illustrations of three pokemon–Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly. You can choose any one of these pokemon as your first partner in the game. Certain illustrations of symbols can also be noted alongside the three characters, which players will recognize as they journey through the games.
The matching Joy-Con controllers display the school badges of the Naranja Academy and Uva Academy. The same emblems appear in the respective games. However, it should be noted that this special edition Switch OLED does not include either games–Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. You’ll have to buy them separately.

With Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, the Pokémon series takes an evolutionary step, allowing players to explore freely in a richly expressed open world. Catch, battle, and train Pokémon in the Paldea Region, a vast land filled with lakes, towering peaks, wastelands, small towns, and sprawling cities. Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet offer an open-world experience that only the Pokémon series can deliver – one welcoming even to newcomers to the series.
You will find the new Nintendo Switch OLED Model: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Edition in stores and online in the My Nintendo Store for $359.99. The hefty price tag will be worth it, since this is the latest Switch hardware revision, with a larger, brighter screen than the regular Switch along with the limited run Scarlet and Violet skin.
The Switch OLED model featuring a 7-inch OLED screen, wide adjustable stand, and a dock with a wired LAN port, was released by Nintendo late last year. As for the Pokemon games, they will be released later the same month as the Special Edition Nintendo Switch on November 18th.
