With the Six Invitational event right around the corner, Ubisoft has released a new ‘Discovery’ playlist for Rainbow Six Siege. The new Road to Six Invitational playlist includes more competitive features like the esports map pool, operator Pick and Ban, and more. The Road to S.I. is available now for all Rainbow Six Siege players.
Road to Six Invitational
The new playlist will be available every weekend leading up to the Six Invitational. Matches in the playlist will utilize the pro league ruleset, which means extended rounds, operator bans, and the esports map pool. There are, however, some differences, such as the exclusion of sixth pick.
The Road to Six Invitational discovery playlist will be available during the following time periods:
- January 25th 2019 – 10:00 am EST to January 28th 2019 – 10:00 am EST
- From February 1st 2019 – 10:00 am EST to February 4th 2019 – 10:00 am EST
- February 8th 2019 – 10:00 am EST to February 11th 2019 – 10:00 am EST
- February 15th 2019 – 10:00 am EST to February 18th 2019 – 10:00 am EST
2019 Collection Packs
The long-awaited 2019 Collection Packs also went live today. Available to purchase for R6 Credits, the new premium packs contain headgears, uniforms, weapon skins and charms for six operators. Similar to all previous collection packs, the 2019 Collection Packs have no duplicates.
“We are also pleased to announce that 30% of the net revenue from 2019 Collection packs will be added to the Six Invitational 2019 prize pool, up to a maximum of $2,000,000,” states Ubisoft. “Any additional revenue beyond the $2M limit will be distributed across our other official esport programs.
Each player is given one free 2019 Collection Pack, and more can be purchased by spending R6 Credits. The complete collection totaling 24 packs costs 6480 R6 Credits, roughly $50. Additionally, players can complete challenges to unlock up to four Collection Packs.
