Google has been trying to enter the wireless headphone game for a while now. The older Pixel Buds, although an interesting concept, couldn’t really make their mark. This time around though, Google announced that the next generation of Pixel Buds would be hitting the store sometime in the spring of 2020. Now, we are finally getting the sign of the first view (or the lack thereof) of these earbuds.
According to a recent post from 9to5Google, the headphones have started being on sale on third-party websites. The example on hand is that of B&H Photo. According to the article, the website has posted a Clearly White version of the Pixel Buds 2020 as a pre-order. The earbuds are linked as a New item and marked as Coming Soon. While that is the case, there is no information given on the earbuds. There is no supporting picture nor are there any specs coupled with the post.
About The Pixel Buds 2020
With that being said, there are still a bunch of things we know about the upcoming earbuds. Currently, we have only seen dummy models of the Pixel Buds 2020 but it is known that the earbuds would have a sleeker and truly wireless design. Secondly, there is a rating for the battery life. The earbuds would have a standing listening time of 5 hours while the standby time for in-case would be up to 24 hours. The charging case would be a USB-C powered one which, at this point, would be quite obvious.
We do not know much about the sound but Google claims to have fit in a 12mm custom driver in the earbuds. There is also adaptive sound to adjust according to the surroundings. Additionally, it would also have touch controls on the sides of the earbuds. They include other smart-Google features as well that adjust to you, the user. Perhaps we would know for sure once the earbuds are available.
