Payday 3 Leaked Footage Shows Increased Focus on Stealth

Just weeks after the release of the official gameplay trailer for Payday 3, a 20-minute leaked gameplay video has surfaced online. The video provides fans with their first extended look at the upcoming game, and answers a lot of questions fans had for the game.
The video shows off a lot of new gameplay features, and indicated the direction the game will be taking. This includes the game’s new stealth mechanics, its increased focus on environmental destruction, and its new setting in New York City. It also gives fans a glimpse of some of the game’s new weapons and gadgets.
You can take a look at the gameplay yourself, but the leaked footage seems to tell us that the game is shaping up to be a visually impressive and feature-rich sequel. However, it’s important to note that the video is not of the highest quality, and it’s possible that some of the features shown off may not make it into the final game.

The leaked footage shows a variety of different heists, including a bank robbery, a jewelry store heist, and a high-profile art theft (we did actually know about all these looking at the gameplay reveal and the cover art).
The game’s stealth mechanics seem to be more refined than those in Payday 2, as players can now sneak around without their masks and use environmental objects to create distractions. The game’s environmental destruction also seems to be more extensive, as players can now blow up walls, cars, and other objects to create new paths or escape routes.
The game’s setting in NYC includes a detailed and realistic cityscape and weather effects. The game’s new weapons and gadgets look like they will add a lot of variety to the gameplay, as players can now use a variety of new guns, explosives, and tools to complete their heists.
Payday 3 is scheduled to be released on September 21st for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It will feature cross-progression and cross-play functionality across all platforms. Additionally, Game Pass subscribers will see it appearing in their libraries on Day One.
This is all we know for now, but rest assured that we will keep you updated as new information becomes available.
