Overlay Scrollbars Return To Microsoft Edge in Latest Update Due To Popular Demand

It's a bit tricky to enable it, though.

As Windows 11 inches closer to its release, Microsoft is tweaking its existing apps to better coincide with the upcoming OS. As parts of its efforts to modernize these apps, Microsoft just released a notable update to Edge, Windows’ native browser. The update brings back a classic feature thanks to popular demand and the best part is, the update is coming to both Windows 11 and Windows 10.

Build 94.0.987.0 released in both the Dev and Canary channels is now live and it comes with Overlay Scrollbars. For the unaware, an overlay scroll bar is exactly what is sounds like. It’s a scroll bar at the right-most side of your screen. But, instead of being separated from the browser tab and integrated into the browser window, it sits as just an overlay on top of the tab. It keeps itself hidden until you hover over it creating a more immersive viewing experience.
