As if the Samsung launches hadn’t hyped up the Android market, we can already look forward to the OnePlus launch. It is true that we have already have had a bunch of leaks about the upcoming devices, but, with weeks to go, there is some exclusive information. According to a post from 91Mobiles, Ishan Agarwal (Tech Blogger and tipster) handed exclusive information to the platform.
According to the post, the company gave a whole idea of the specs from the upcoming OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro. These are pretty straight forward, as tipped before. But then, there are certain features that are actually new and unheard of before.
While some features are common to both the upcoming devices, some are obviously device-specific. For example, the Pro version would obviously pack in more features. At the time of this article though, both devices are set to rock the Snapdragon 865 SoC. The screens would be 120 Hz panels, although the resolution support is unknown. Additionally, the OnePlus 8 Pro would have support for dual-mode 5G and a 30W wireless charging option. According to the article, the same is not sure for the base OnePlus 8.
The OnePlus 8 & 8 Pro
Additionally, for the basic OnePlus 8, we know that the device would have a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint reader. The front camera would be a punch-hole one and not a notch. There are the typical RAM and storage options, ranging from 6GB+128GB all the way up to 8GB+256GB (UFS 3.0). The back, according to the renders, seems familiar. There will be a three-camera setup, quoting the article:
the OnePlus 8 is said to come with triple rear cameras consisting of a 48MP primary sensor, a 16MP secondary unit and a 2MP unit.
The device would have a 4000mAh battery and support for 30T Warp charging.
The powerhouse, OnePlus 8 Pro would be different in some ways though. It would perhaps come with a bigger 6.65-inch display. There is a strong chance that the resolution would be superior to the basic model. Instead of a 3 camera setup, it would have a 4 camera one. This additional sensor may be a ToF sensor, according to the report. Lastly, it would come equipped with a 4500mAh battery and a 10V 5A (50W), Super Warp charger.
All these features sound amazing but the ones that stand out are the possible introduction of Wireless Charging and a 120 Hz display. Perhaps we would have all these speculations confirmed when the device finally comes out.
