NVIDIA Studio Driver November 2020 Update Brings Support For Eight New GPU-Accelerated Creative App Updates

The latest version of NVIDIA Studio Driver is out. The latest version is release 457.30. The update enables and accelerates several new and powerful features within the popular image and multimedia content creation and editing platforms such as Blackmagic Design’s DaVinci Resolve 17 Beta Keyshot 10, Notch, Topaz Video Enhance AI, BorisFX Continuum 2021, Red Giant Trapcode Suite 16, and Magic Bullet Suite 14.

The November 2020 edition of the NVIDIA Studio Driver is now available through GeForce Experience or from NVIDIA’s driver download page. The GPU maker assures Studio Drivers are built specifically for creators and tested extensively against top creative apps and workflows. The latest update is clearly optimized for the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3000 Series of Graphics Cards as they have a large number of Tensor Cores and the ability to offer powerful hardware-based Ray Tracing.:

DaVinci Resolve 17 Beta Available For Download:

DaVinci Resolve 17, the latest release of the popular editing, color correction, visual effects, motion graphics, and audio post-production solution, is available as a free public beta to download today. The latest version of DaVinci Resolve comes with multiple benefits such as:

  • Magic Mask – use quick brushstrokes to automatically create mattes to isolate and track body parts or objects.
  • Smart Reframe – automatically detect and track objects of interest with automatic transforms to keep them in the frame.
  • Scene Cut Detection – analyzes content on the timeline and applies blade edits to isolate each scene.

DaVinci Resolve 17 is a big update. It includes new HDR grading tools, redesigned primary color controls, airlight audio improvements, bin sorting, and metadata clip previews. Needless to add, the AI-accelerated RTX Tensor Cores combined with these features should significantly reduce tedious, repetitive work.

Keyshot 10 Gets Performance Boosts:

Keyshot 10 claims rendering speeds are up by 23 percent than the previous version. The platform offers one-click GPU rendering, optimized material, lighting, and output capabilities, and is optimized for NVIDIA RTX GPUs.

In addition to fast rendering speeds, RTX-acceleration enables interactive Ray Tracing in the viewport, allowing for users to quickly see their visions in near real-time.

Video Upscaling From Topaz Video Enhance AI:

Topaz Video Enhance AI has several new features and enhancements, starting with Tensor Core-accelerated video enhancement. It is reportedly trained on thousands of videos and multiple input video frames. Topaz Video Enhance AI promises to enlarge and enhance footage up to 8K resolution with true details and motion consistency. This is claimed to be the most powerful video upscaling software Topaz has ever released.

Notch Enables Face Motion Tracking

Notch has now added the NVIDIA Broadcast Engine AR software development kit to its full release. Users have access to more Tensor Core accelerated AI features from Face Mesh, Face Landmark Tracking, to Face Tracking.

Due to the Tensor Cores, all get reduced processing times while improving quality and stability compared to CPU-based solutions. The low-latency and high-responsiveness of these Tensor Core-accelerated AI features make it possible to use in interactive installations, live broadcasts, and virtual production workflows.

BorisFX Continuum 2021:

BorisFX Continuum provides nearly 350 creative effects in 20 categories. 81 new filters have been added to the set, all 100 percent GPU accelerated via OpenCL. The BCC Particle Illusion plugin converts from a 2D particle system to a full 3D system using OpenGL.

Additionally, the BCC Title Studio plugin includes new procedural noise and texture compositing features for improved C4D model rendering and generally improved texturing using OpenGL, again improving productivity.

Besides the aforementioned features, there are a lot more. NVIDIA has outlined a few in the official blog confirming the release of the November 2020 update of NVIDIA Studio Driver.
