The Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti is supposed to be the top of the line graphics card in the upcoming series and there are rumors that suggest that this time Nvidia might announce the Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti along with the other graphics cards. Usually, the Ti models are announced later on but this time things could be different.
The Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti will feature 11 GB of VRAM and 4352 CUDA cores, Which is an impressive increase as compared to the 1080 Ti. The graphics card will come with 272 TMUs and 88 ROPs. According to some recent reports the RTX 2080 is supposed to have similar levels of performance as compared to the Titan V, is if that is the case then you can imagine the kind of power the Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti will have to offer.
This is a rumor, for now, so you will need to take this with a grain of salt. Nvidia will confirm whether or not this is true. If the Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti is going to be announced alongside the other graphics cards in the series then this is indeed going to be a big surprise. It has been 2 years since Pascal was released so consumers are expecting a drastic increase in performance from the next generation of Nvidia graphics cards.
AMD is not going to be releasing a new architecture this year so we are looking at Nvidia for some serious gains in performance. AMD will be moving the Vega architecture to the 7nm node so you can expect to see some increase in clock speeds and better power consumption, but the Navi next-generation architecture is not coming this year.
It will be interesting to see what kind of performance these graphics cards will have to offer as compared to the current Nvidia cards as well as cards from the competition. Intel is also planning to release graphics cards for gaming in 2020, while that is a long time from now, there will be an increase in competition and that is always great for consumers.
Increase in competition means price cuts and better value for money for the consumer. Stay tuned for more information regarding the upcoming Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti.
