Samsung’s Note 20+ May Have a Superzoom Periscope Lens Afterall

We have been looking for signs, leaks and rumours for the upcoming Note series from Samsung. We saw Samsung come out with an excellent S20 lineup. The S20 ultra gave us a glimpse of a device that was made with no holds barred. This, naturally, had the people, even more, hyped up for the upcoming Note series. The series that is actually a powerhouse. In the past, Ice Universe on Twitter has blessed us with a bunch of leaks and exclusive content on devices. This time, yesterday, he tweeted confirming that the Note 20+ would not have any superzoom lenses to its name. Which was a shame. This is because Samsung actually has the potential, with its superior image processing to make something amazing out of it.

While everyone was bummed out about it, there were still some believers out there who knew that Samsung would not let them down with its powerhouse, beast of a device. After all, Samsung doesn’t hold much back with its Note series. We have seen in the past as well. Note devices are a blast (RIP Note 7).
Will the Note 20+ have a superzoom lens?
Anyway, fast-forwarding to today and we saw something interesting from Ice Universe’s account on Twitter. This was the tweet posted.
Note20+ Yes! https://t.co/8UmArPua2j

It clearly showcases, from a tweet from Camle Ngo, the cutouts from what appears to be the Note 20+’s camera module. While it does show a quad-camera setup, the bottom-most cutout is one for a periscope lens. As history suggests, these lenses are primarily for superzoom lenses. This suggests and debunks Ice Universe’s previous claims about the Note 20+ not having a superzoom lens. This also means that Samsung may be doing something similar to its 100x zoom, the implementation of which was perfect from Huawei. With Samsung’s superior image processing system, we may just have a winner on our hands.
