According to the Japanese company’s quarterly financial report released today, the Nintendo Switch has now sold over 111 million devices worldwide. Additionally, Mario Strikers: Battle League, Kirby, and the Forgotten Land, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Nintendo Switch Sports each managed to sell more than a million copies in the first quarter of the current fiscal year.
Regarding the Nintendo Switch business during the first quarter (April through June 2022) of this fiscal year, Nintendo Switch Sports (released in April) achieved sales of 4.84 million units, and Mario Strikers: Battle League (released in June) got off to good start selling 1.91 million units. In addition, stable sales continued for titles released in previous fiscal years.”
Although sales of Nintendo’s mobile games totaled 10.9-billion-yen, revenue fell by 16.8% every year. The projection for the rest of the fiscal year has not been altered by Nintendo. Nintendo probably doesn’t have much cause for concern with the recent release of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and the busy Nintendo Switch calendar that lies ahead.
