Sonic Frontiers Director Says Next Sonic Game Will be Much Greater

After the successful launch of the game, Sonic Frontiers director Morio Kishimoto has stated on multiple occasions that there is a lot more Sonic content on its way for the fans. He has assured fans that the developer teams are working closely on the players’ feedback from Sonic Frontiers, and they are determined to improve the experience for the fans. 

Now as recently Sonic Frontiers won the People’s Voice Award at The Game Awards 2022, it has generated a new wave of enthusiasm among the teams behind the game, and Kishimoto has Tweeted once again appreciating the developers and teams behind the projects and assured the fans that the next Sonic game will be greater than the current scale of the game.

We made it into the top 5 of TGA Players’ Voice! This is all thanks to your support! The third generation is off to a good start. I’m happy! I am sure that this result will be a big driving force for the next work. We promise you an experience of greater excitement and surprise. Finally, I would like to thank all the staff involved in this project.”


Sonic Frontiers developers have already stated that they are working on getting the franchise to new highs. The open world of the Sonic Frontiers is just a cornerstone for the future Sonic games, implying that there is a lot that the fans can look forward to. As for the future of Sonic Frontier, it is also very bright, to say the least, as SEGA has confirmed that there are multiple DLCs planned for the game that will be released over the course of months, branching into 2023, starting with Sonic Frontiers Monster Hunter DLC being the first free DLC for the game. 

Sonic Frontiers was released on 8th November 2022, and it was well received by the fans and critics appreciated its open-world experience and new exciting style of gameplay. With this new statement from the game’s director, it looks like the blue blur is not stopping anytime soon and will continue to grow faster. Sonic Frontiers is now available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC.
