Nvidia is yet to officially announce the RTX 2060. But, a number of rumors have been afloat regarding the GPU since a few days. The card looks slated for a CES 2019 release, but there no confirmation regarding the same. As per previous rumors, the card will be coming in about six different versions. The card comes with GDDR6 or GDDR5 memory with 3GB, 4GB, or 6GB of VRAM. Canada Computers today listed a GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 2060 6GB Gaming OC.
As Videocardz reports, Canada Computer have listed the GV-N2060GAMING OC-6GB, which was leaked earlier by them. There are a certain things to note, though. First, the codename change from 6GD to 6GB might hint towards the fact that there is no GDDR5 version. Although Nvidia might still launch a GDDR5 version, this leak suggests otherwise. Second, there is no hint on the 4GB or 3GB versions. While this does not suggest that the 3GB and 4GB models don’t exist, it seems like that it is less likely that Nvidia will launch so many versions with different video memory.
Finally, the listing also reveals the pricing of the same. The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 2060 6GB Gaming OC is listed at a price of 529 CAD. In USD, that comes to around 395 USD. While previous rumors suggested that the MSRP was around 345 USD, this might be a placeholder.
Moreover, launch prices are a bit bloated for early buyers, and these prices should come down eventually. Keep in mind, this is the RTX 2060 Gaming OC version, so base editions might cost lower as well. There are a lot of questions regarding the RTX 2060, and we’ll probably hear answers in the coming few days given the fact that CES is just a few days away.
