Huawei Honor MagicBook laptops are expected to get a refresh, and it appears the Chinese company has some powerful models with the new 7nm AMD Ryzen 4000 APUs. A new mystery Huawei Honor MagicBook Laptop with AMD Ryzen 7 4800H, 16GB RAM, 512GB NVMe SSD, and few other notable specifications and features, has leaked online.
The Huawei ‘Honor Smart Life’ event is scheduled to take place on May 18. Incidentally, the event will take place merely two days before the Honor X10 launch event. While the Huawei Honor X10 is a mid-range Android smartphone with 5G capabilities, the Honor Smart Life event is currently a mystery. In other words, Huawei hasn’t indicated the products that would be launched. According to local reports, Huawei is expected to launch a wide variety of products at this event like laptops, tablets, routers, smart TVs, and more. Now one of the most eagerly awaited product’s specifications has appeared online.

About a week prior to the Huawei ‘Honor Smart Life’ event, a mystery ‘Huawei Laptop’ has leaked online. There’s very little information about the same. According to the leak, this upcoming mysterious Huawei laptop will be powered by 8 Core, 16 Thread AMD Ryzen 7 4800H. The powerful APU is allegedly paired with 16GB of DDR4 RAM.

The mystery laptop packs a Western Digital PC SN720 NVMe SSD with a capacity of 512GB that can offer up to 3,400 MB/s read speeds. The Tweet indicates there’s no mention of a dGPU (discrete GPU). However, the 7nm AMD Ryzen 7 4800H is based on the ZEN 2 Architecture, and more importantly, comes with an integrated AMD Radeon RX Vega 7 iGPU.
Is Huawei Or Honor Launching the Mystery AMD Ryzen 7 4800H Honor MagicBook?
The aforementioned specifications should be ample for any serious office productivity, multimedia editing as well as gaming at respectable settings. However, there’s no clear indication if the mystery Huawei Laptop is indeed from Huawei or from its sub-brand Honor.There’s no Huawei event scheduled to take place anytime soon. Moreover, the upcoming event is titled Honor Smart Life. Additionally, Honor’s president George Zhao also recently a new Honor MagicBook model with 10th Gen Intel processors.
It is amply clear that Huawei, just like the majority of laptop manufacturers, is readying its new laptops with either the latest 14nm Intel 10th Gen Comet Lake CPUs or 7nm AMD Ryzen 4000 Mobility CPUs. The Honor MagicBook laptops have traditionally featured a solid build chassis and relevant internal components. Hence the new 2020 refresh of the MagicBook should come with AMD Ryzen 4000 CPUs. Incidentally, Huawei had launched Ryzen 3000-powered Honor MagicBook Pro laptops in 2019.
