MSI Accidentally Confirms the Launch Date for AMD Zen4 along with its X670E Motherboards

Just yesterday, various AIB partners presented their designs for the upcoming X670 motherboards. Today, unexpectedly MSI has confirmed the launch date of these motherboards, which also carries over to AMD’s Ryzen 7000 CPUs.

The V symbol is the roman represntation for ‘5’ which may refer to AMD’s AM5 socket. So it seems that we have the actual launch date, which corresponds with our previous leaks.

MSI’s Confirmation Regarding the launch date of Zen4 and X670 | Weibo

The original leak stated 29th August as the official announcement of Zen4 from AMD. On the 13th of September, reviewers will be allowed to give their two cents regarding this new lineup and just 2 days later, the CPUs will be unveiled to the public.

  • Announcement : 29th August, 8PM ET
  • Press embargo : 13th September,  9AM ET
  • Official Launch : 15th September, 9AM ET

The initial lineup for the Ryzen 7000 CPUs was also leaked a while ago

  • Ryzen 9 7950X
  • Ryzen 9 7900X
  • Ryzen 7 7700X
  • Ryzen 5 7600X

MSI’s X670 series features 3 X670E and 1 X670 motherboards. No word regarding the B650 series has been given, although we can expect them to arrive later on as Zen4 stretches to the Ryzen 3 series.
