Now scheduled for the 11th of August

To everyone’s surprise, Motorola recently cancelled the Razr 2022 foldable and its X30 Pro flagship smartphones. The phones were scheduled for an announcement in a launch event on the 2nd of August, but Lenovo mobile general manager Chen Jin later informed people of the cancellation. Thankfully, the launch is back on track, and is now scheduled for the 11th of August.
Motorola Razr 2022 and X30 Pro
The Motorola Razr is the only foldable on the company’s line-up. The razr foldable is more akin to the Samsung’s flip design, and opens and closes vertically. Last year’s razr was decently well received, but critics pointed out the obvious hardware deficiencies wrt to the price. It seems, Motorola has finally heard the fans, and this year’s Razr comes with top of the line specs. The phone sports the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip, with a 6.7-inch display and 144Hz refresh rate.
As for the X30 Pro, this series has always been Motorola’s flagship series and will also sport top of the line specs. The phone will get the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC, with a 200MP Samsung HP1 primary sensor at the back. The phone will also sport a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 12MP telephoto lens. Recent leaks have also revealed the phone’s european pricing, supposedly coming in at at €899, or $916.
