Microsoft Store Lists Mafia & Mafia 2 Definitive Editions for Pre-Order: Coming out on 28th August & 19th May Respectively

A while back 2K announced its return of the Mafia series with the Mafia trilogy teaser. While it didn’t contain any major chunks of what may be considered a leak, it sure was something interesting. Moments ago though, the Microsoft store displayed the title for early grabs. The games Mafia 1 and Mafia 2: their “Definitive” editions are posted on the website.

As displayed on Microsoft’s Store, both the mafia 1 and 2 definitive Editions are available as a part of a pre-order. According to an article from IGN, this follows the company’s tease of the Mafia trilogy as well. According to 2K, the titles are supposed to come out in the open for a proper announcement on 19th May. As for the aforementioned Mafia: Definitive Edition and Mafia 2: Definitive Edition, the Microsoft store states that these would be coming out on August 28th and May 19th respectively.

The game’s listing also provided brand new screenshots of what we may see in the game, new footage and whatnot. They claim that the story has been recreated. Meaning, while the original integrity of the title is maintained, they have added a few things here and there to expand the story and further bring it in new directions.

People who pre-order the Mafia: Definitive Edition, they would have the luxury of having Tommy’s Suit and his Cab in both Mafia 2 and Mafia 3. This, according to the IGN article, means that both the titles would be separate releases. There are more details to come in but with the announcement date so close, we would perhaps know best by the 19th of this month.
