A recent update to Power BI, Microsoft’s visual analytics Windows 10 app, has introduced enhanced presentation mode capabilities. The functionalities brought by the new update make it easier to use Power BI in collaboration sessions, such as during conferences.
Presentation mode can be accessed by simply tapping the full screen button located in the menu bar. The larger view gets rid of the frame, allowing you to focus on more important data such as dashboard visuals or reports.
An action bar has been implemented which helps users navigate through the app pages with ease. Action bar tools such as searching and inking make discussions during presentations much simpler and improve communication.
Presentation mode will function differently depending on the display size. For displays smaller than 84”, the action bar will be shown on the bottom of the screen, while larger displays show it on the left or right edges of the screen.
You can also undock the action bar and place it anywhere on the screen, making it easier to reach on large screens.
Presentation mode can be used on Windows desktops, tablets, and laptops running the Power BI app. The new update for the Power BI Windows 10 app can be downloaded from the Microsoft Store.
