Microsoft Office Is Officially Making Its Way on the Mac App Store

Microsoft Office is now available on Mac App Store in selected countries only

Microsoft Office has been missing on the Mac App Store for quite some time now. At the last WWDC, Apple announced that Office will be featuring on the Mac App Store soon. But that was not the case to be. But now it looks like iOS App stores in selected countries have Microsoft Office according to a report by Macrumors.

Apple in different countries like France and Switzerland has been running a promotional story regarding Microsoft Office. The promotional story that is featuring on the App Store highlights the availability of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint on the Mac App Store. These promotional stories are available in only selected countries with the apps also available in those selected countries as of now.

The promotional story from the App Store if translated from French states the following:

We are proud to announce that Microsoft Office 365 is now on the Mac App Store. Your subscription to Office 365 gives you access to all functions on all platforms. To subscribe, sign up for any Office Suite app and update your subscription. Discover all the apps in the suite, and start creating and collaborating!

The stories are a signal that the Microsoft apps will be available on the Mac App Store all over the world any time. Microsoft has published a document that has the details on how to activate Office once it is downloaded. In a note, the company said that Word, Powerpoint, and Excel will require Office 365 subscription in order to create and edit documents.

Microsoft has provided the details through which Office can be activated for Mac users. The company has asked the users to reinstall Office apps after deleting the ones without a subscription. The apps can be downloaded directly or they can be downloaded as a single package as well.
