Tomorrow, Xiaomi will finally unveil their flagship Mi 9 device. This will be a major flagship launch from Xiaomi who have seen stern competition from the likes of OnePlus.
Today, the Mi 9 Transparent Edition otherwise known as the Explorer Edition was spotted on Geekbench by Mysmartprice. This variant features 12 GB of RAM, a transparent back and runs on the new Android 9 Pie. The phone is codenamed ‘Cepheus’, which proves that the device which appeared in a Geekbench listing last month under the same codename was indeed the Mi 9. However, it must be noted that last months Geekbench listing had 6 GB of RAM.
There were two benchmark results for the Mi 9 Transparent Edition. In the first test, the Mi 9 Transparent Edition scored 2982 points in the single-core test and 10382 points in the multi-core test. Meanwhile, in the second test, the device scored 3047 points in the single-core test and 10,688 points in the multi-core test.
Mi 9’s Standard Variant
This variant of the phone is also codenamed ‘Cepheus’. The listing, however, does not mention the name of the processor. The 8 GB RAM variant of the phone scores an impressive 3,524 points in the single-core test and 11,127 points in the multi-core test.
Mi 9’s launch event will be held in less than 24 hours from now. We are expecting Xiaomi to release multiple variants of the Mi 9 tomorrow. Xiaomi is also expected to launch a 12 GB RAM variant of the phone called the Xiaomi Mi 9 Battle Angel Edition, which will feature a triple camera setup. This variant is not to be confused with the Xiaomi Mi 9 Explorer Edition. You can read more about the specifications of the phone here.
