EA Sports Announces Special FUT Heroes Collab with Marvel

FUT Hereos cards that were first introduced back in FIFA 22 are making a big return. The FUT cards celebrate classic players and numerous iconic moments that very well cemented them as heroes among the fans of their respective clubs. But now, Marvel is coming out with special Hero Cards for FIFA 23.

The Heroes cards will be making a return in FIFA 23, but this time around, players will get access to special illustrated versions of the card when the World Cup mode finally launches on November 11. The Marvel FUT Heroes cards will come along with special illustrations for the cards.

According to EA, the base editions of the FUT Heroes cards will be readily available as the game hits shelves on September 30. Later down the line, special Marvel FUT Hero cards will be available in-game as the World Cup mode is added.

While the base editions of the FUT Hero cards pay homage to iconic moments from the player’s careers, the World Cup versions of the Marvel FUT Heroes Cards will focus on key moments of the player’s international careers.

To make this much more interesting, the World Cup versions of the cards will feature better stats compared to their base counterparts.

The Marvel collaborations that fans are eagerly awaiting will feature numerous other items, including balls, tifos, and kits. In addition, an online Marvel Heroes comic book will also be released that will feature the iconic football players.

EA issued a statement in regards to the upcoming release of the game as well as the collaboration between Marvel and EA:

“This collaboration between two of the world’s largest entertainment brands will bring some of the game’s fan favourites to the game and celebrate their larger-than-life cult hero status alongside the amazing artists at Marvel,” 

So far, only four FUT Heroes have been confirmed, featuring the likes of Yaya Toure, Ricardo Carvalho, Park Ji-Sung, and Claudio Marchisio. That’s pretty much it for the roster for now, but more are expected to be confirmed before the game’s official release date.

FIFA 23 will also feature FUT Moments which is going to be a scenario-based single-player mode allowing gamers st o live the most iconic moments of football, with flexible match times and squad requirements.
