Kratos Skin Might Come to the Fortnite Universe as Part of the Current Season

Since its release, Fortnite has become a global phenomenon in the gaming industry. The free-to-play Battle Royale is available to play on any platform possible except iOS. Fortnite is known for its skins and the in-game events. The last Travis Scott Fortnite concert was watched by around 12.3 million players worldwide, which was a world record on its own.

Season 5 of the Battle Royale game has already kicked off with additional content and picture-perfect Mandalorian and Baby Yoda skins. The game has previously featured skins from the Marvel, DC universe, and many other entertainment franchises. Now, we may be getting a skin from the gaming industry.

According to a tweet from HYPEX, a notable leaker, the next major character skin may be Kratos the Ghost of Sparta from the God of War series. Kratos has been previously used in Mortal Kombat 9 as a playable character, but it was only available to those who purchased the game for PlayStation 3. Since Fortnite is also a multiplatform game, the skin may only be available to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 players. On the other hand, the possibility of skin being available to all is there as Fortnite was the game that convinced Sony to allow cross-platform multiplier.

After the leak, the official PlayStation account also tweeted a video titled “Incoming audio transmission from Fortnite.” It’s a monologue from an unseen character who is panicking about the next recruit (Kratos). He says, “The next guy you’re picking up has literally vanquished multiple gods with his bare hands in a fit of uncontrollable rage,” which perfectly describes Kratos.

The current season introduces “Hunters” from multiple realities that have been brought to the island to fight Galactus. Kratos may be introduced as another hunter. It is not sure whether the skin would be a reward for an event or a purchasable item.
