Video game crossover events have been rising in popularity these past few months. Today, For Honor became latest video game to feature a crossover event. This time, Ezio from the Assassin’s Creed game series heads to the world of For Honor. Players can now fight against the renowned assassin in this limited time crossover event that went live in For Honor today.
For the Creed
Titled For the Creed, the event is set within an Animus simulation where players take control of a knight, viking, or samurai. There’s the standard For Honor combat mechanics included within the modified Dominion game mode, but there are also Assassin’s Creed cosmetics and weapons thrown into the mix.
In the game mode, it’s Assassins versus Templars as attackers and defenders, respectively. The developers describe the final commander battles of Ezio and Cesare as more of a “big boss” battle. There’s also a new finisher move available to all characters: the iconic ‘hidden blade’. Several moves, such as the drop attack, have been modified to fit the Assassin’s Creed theme.
All three maps included in the For the Creed event are designed to give off an Animus simulation vibe by occasionally displaying glitches in the environment. The new weapons added to For Honor are based off the ones seen in the Assassin’s Creed games. New weapons, symbols for emblem, outfits, and a new mask outfit based on Assassin’s Creed Odyssey have been added. The bundles for cosmetics are far from cheap, costing as much as 35,000 steel per hero.
The ‘For the Creed’ crossover event is now live in For Honor, and runs till January 10th 2019.
