The iPhone 12 Saga went from interesting, to anxious to intriguing to now what it is: Sad. Well, this is just what it is. First, we found out that the phones would be delayed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. This lead the factories to be closed for quite some time. Of course, this pushed back their timeline by quite a lot.
Then, we found out that Apple would be pushing to meet the demand eventually by July and August, in time for the Fall launch. We found out that even due to backlash with the product lineup, Apple would be able to meet the market’s demands. Now, there is some new developments in this department.
According to this tweet from Ross Young, Apple may be facing another issue. While the company may be able to end up with the product by the end of the summer, starting fall, these may be restricted to a particular device.
iPhone 12 panel production is a month ahead of the iPhone 12 Pro Max. July vs. August. Should mean delays for the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max. 5.42" iPhone 12 will have a healthy early lead in volume.

As seen on the tweet above, the displays for the iPhone 12 would be on time. These are obviously different, quality displays and maybe coming from different manufacturers. The ones found in the iPhone 12 would be on time. These would be the 5.42″ versions. Perhaps its counterpart for the iPhone 12 Max may be on time as well. Like previous “budget” ones, these would be lower resolution ones as well.
As for the ones in the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max, we may see a delay in these modules. Now, this does not mean that the phones would be delayed. Apple would make sure, in order to save its stock, that the company delivers on time. What would be an issue is that many people may not get the phone at launch. There may be delivery delays and so on.
