Idris Elba will make an appearance in the Cyberpunk 2077 expansion Phantom Liberty. During The Game Awards, CD Projekt Red revealed that the actor would be playing Solomon Reed, an FIA agent for the NUSA. You can watch the trailer down below.
Previously unseen footage of Cyberpunk’s first major DLC, Phantom Liberty, was revealed by CD Projekt Red. This trailer provided new information about the plot as well as the setting. But the most important thing to remember is that Idris Elba, the actor who plays a United States agent, Solomon Reed, will be appearing as a major supporting character in the upcoming DLC. The expansion has not yet been scheduled for a specific date, but 2023 continues to be the target year for its completion. About the new character, CDPR says:
Reed is a veteran New United States of America agent, and apparently the only person players can trust to help them fulfill an impossible mission of espionage and survival,”
The main stage of the expansion is the new neighborhood of Night City known as “Dog Town,” and the teaser trailer gives us a glimpse at the gameplay, including the new scenery. Idris Elba, who plays a new character named Solomon Reed, co-stars with Keanu Reeves, who plays Johnny Silverhand. In the New United States, Reed is an experienced agent who is the only person worth trusting when it comes to fighting for survival in the ruthless world of espionage.
When the teaser was finally unveiled, gamers everywhere were treated to a personal video message from Idris Elba. He expressed his admiration for the main character and his performance in the expansion.
