A while back, Jon Prosser, the king of leaks lately, dropped his renders for the upcoming AirPods Studio, Apple’s premium addition to over-the-ear headsets. While we haven’t seen the offering from the company, there is another company that has dropped its headphones. Huawei has been notoriously known to copy a lot of things from Apple. Even today, we see that the devices from Huawei come with earphones quite similar to EarPods from Apple. Now, we look at a tweet from Jon showing Huawei’s new offering.
I leaked the name “AirPods Studio”
I’m also the one who leaked the renders…
Looks like Huawei is taking both of those things 😂😂😂
This will be much funnier if I was wrong 😂😂😂😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/LTxGmeaQ7y

Now, we look at the design and it is quite similar to the one dropped by Jon. While Apple may not follow the design at all, we see that somehow, “coincidentally”, the design looks quite similar. We know that these leaks have been around for quite some time now therefore it is a little safe to assume that the company picked up from there.
Then, we come to the name. This tweet gets more hilarious as you progress through it. Huawei has decided to call these the FreeBuds Studio. Sounding quite familiar and similar to the AirPods Studio. This is actually not very surprising as it is funny. This is because of the different target audience in the Chinese market, companies aim for Apple-like characteristics because people prefer that. The problem is that not many people can afford Apple products and thus choose to go for these other ones. Companies like OPPO and Vivo have made their interfaces, in the past, quite similar to the iPhones. Not to mention, a lot of companies still follow iOS’ camera interface, to the last detail!
