The new chip will reduce the overall cost of producing a commercial wearable product. It will supersede the Huangshan No.2 released in June 2020.

According to a report from Gizmochina, the chip also has a C2 co-processor and an independent NPU (Neural Processing Unit). AI-related tasks are based on the efficiency of the NPU, which enables it to make predictions based on the available dataset. It is expected that the performance of this NPU will be leaps ahead compared to the one present in the Huangshan No. 2.

Lastly, the name of the device has not been revealed by Huang Wang. It could be named Huangshan No.3 considering the naming scheme the company has been following for the last three years.
